Prelaunch privacy draft. This page describes the current implementation for review. It is not a final policy or legal advice, and it does not establish compliance for a public launch.
Saved in this browser
Saved stops use your browser’s local storage. They are not an account, and they do not sync between browsers or devices. Clearing the site’s browser data removes those saves.
To show your list, the Saved stops page downloads small public store files. Each file covers many stores, so your list itself is not sent to the site.
Other people using the same browser profile may be able to see saved stops. You can remove a store from the Saved stops page.
Unsent form drafts
The contact, suggestion and correction forms do not send messages in this version. When you choose Save draft, the form values and a save time are kept in this browser’s local storage. A correction draft also keeps the listing reference.
Do not put sensitive information into a draft. You can remove the saved copy using Remove saved draft on the form, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. The text currently visible in a form can remain there after the saved copy is removed.
Copy draft places the text on your clipboard when your browser allows it. Download draft creates a text file on your device. You control those copies separately from browser storage.
Search and external links
Location searches and filters appear in the page URL. URLs may be saved in browser history and processed by the service hosting the site. External map, directions, phone and store-website links use the service or application you choose to open.
Choosing Map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap, which receives the network request and the area being viewed. Choosing Use my location asks your browser for location permission. On a city page, this version sorts stores by straight-line distance. On the search page, it finds your nearest listed city and opens that page. In both cases the coordinates stay in the current page: they are not sent to the site or added to the URL or saved list.
External services have their own privacy practices. Review them before sharing information with those services.
What must be settled before launch
The final policy needs to identify the site operator, a working privacy contact, hosting and logging arrangements, retention periods, applicable user rights and any analytics or submission services that are actually enabled.
Advertising is planned. Any advertising or consent system must be reviewed and described when it is implemented. This draft does not claim that a mock consent panel or a planned ad slot is a working privacy control.
Questions about this draft
You can prepare a note on the contact page, but messages are not delivered in this version. A working contact channel must be provided before the public launch.
