St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store Toledo

About this store

The Toledo Society of St. Vincent de Paul runs a Thrift Store and Donation Center on Airport Hwy in Toledo, staffed by paid and volunteer workers six days a week, Monday through Saturday. The store has its own website at stvincentthrifttoledo.org and a Facebook page that shares the latest activities and sales.

Donating here

Donations are accepted at the rear of the building Monday through Saturday until 4:00 p.m. The store does not offer pickup of merchandise. Vehicle donations are accepted through the Society's national car donation program: fill out an online form or call toll free (800) 322-8284, any time of day. A weekday donation is picked up within 24 hours, and weekend donations may take longer. The program fills out all the tax forms and sends them to the donor.

The store’s mission

Net proceeds from the thrift store support the mission of the Toledo Society of St. Vincent de Paul in the Diocese of Toledo. The Society, a Catholic charity, helps people struggling to make ends meet with utility bills, mortgage or rent payments, food and transportation, and says thousands are helped in Northwest Ohio each year. Help is delivered through local Catholic parish SVdP Conferences and also includes job training and placement and access to clothing and medical care. The Society was founded in Paris in 1833 and has more than 1,000,000 members in 142 countries.
